All kids have good and bad days. Some stuff makes you mad, sad or happy. And sometimes, you just want to ignore things. Kids with diabetes have a wide range of feelings just like other kids. Sometimes you may be mad that you got diabetes. Other times, you may want to pretend you don’t have diabetes. It might feel like it isn’t fair or you may even feel guilty about your parents feeling sad. It’s important to know that these feelings are perfectly normal and that they come and go. All of these feelings actually help you deal with your diabetes diagnosis and make it easier to cope on days when things aren’t going so well.
